Padepokan Pencak Silat Indonesia

Padepokan is a Javanese term which means a residential complex with a relatively large area is provided for learning and teaching knowledge and skills. Padepokan provided for learning and teaching Pencak Silat Pencak Silat called Padepokan. In Minangkabau, West Sumatra, a place to learn martial arts which is usually called the target Silek virtually owned by each village in the former.

Padepokan Pencak Silat Indonesia (PnPSI) is a national and international scale hermitage located on a land which covers approximately 5.2 acres in Taman Mini Indonesia Indah complex. The total area of buildings is about 8700 m2 and the total width veranda verandas is about 5.000 m2. This hermitage was officially opened by President Soeharto on April 20, 1997.

Padepokan Pencak Silat Indonesia (PnPSI) had at least 5 functions, namely:

    1. As a center of information, education, presentation and promotion of various matters relating to Pencak Silat.
    2. As the center of various activities that berhubu with the preservation, development, deployment and an increase in the image of Pencak Silat and its values.
    3. As a means to strengthen the unity and integrity of society Indonesian Pencak Silat.
    4. As a means to strengthen the friendship among people of Pencak Silat in the various countries.
    5. As a means to promote human 2 code of ethics Pencak Silat, namely: Indonesia and the Pledge Prasetya fighters fighters.
